Never joined Facebook, in spite of the kids and grandkids encouraging me to do so. I have a blog, and I wouldn’t post some of the nonsense people are willing to put on FB.
@DANI RICE: I never had a Facebook page either. I never really saw the point. I have a friend whose daughter set up a Facebook page for him many years ago, and he only looked at it right after she set it up, and he’s never looked at it again. I’ve recently seen some things that made me think about getting on it, but now I’m glad that I never took the step.
There is a difference between sharing your pictures, status and location and secretly having your data sold off to foreign countries to help Republicans get elected.
Bzzzzt! The difference is that she chooses who sees what she posts. Or that’s what she was led to believe by Facebook privacy settings. She didn’t sign up to have that information stolen or sold. Time for FB to convert to a paid subscription and put in place iron-clad privacy barriers.
