I can always go back to (most of) my past life, just by thinking about it. You NEVER seem to lose that, IF you are lucky enough to stay healthy, which I am blessed to have accomplished.
If I could go back, I would tell a high school classmate to stay away from Andy Warhol, another to get a better doctor when he retired, another to tell his brother to stay away from the family home on his honeymoon. But would I tell the young me to run from beautiful first marriage? Well, even though she really messed me up, I like my life now with a woman whom I would not have met otherwise. What I have now is what the Declaration of Independence referred to as the “pursuit of happiness”.

Nice thought there, Aunty! Wouldn’t hurt to meet some long-gone and beloved people too… (sigh)

I’d go back to the late 50s. I was a teenager then and footloose and carefree.

One of the things that’s most unfair about getting old is that our wonderful memories get harder and harder not to lose…

Mid 70s camping, fishing, driving a car on the backroads at night. Good times.
