I actually believe Ron Paul when it comes to Syria: someone not named Assad and Putin want U.S. involvement in Syria. Assad has no reason to poison his own people and neither do the Russians who are supporting the Assad regime. The end game here is being able to contain Iran on behalf of Saudi Arabia (notice how every war we’ve been involved in has to do with S.A.’s enemies). And then there are neocons like Dr.Boom (John Bolton) who want to invade a country and set up puppet states like Iraq and Afghanistan at a reasonable profit. The MIC is a powerful entity and are using the media to sway public opinion to support this war.
Other than that Ron Paul is a crazy old coot. Disclaimer: even a broken clock is right twice a day.
And Trump’s support of Putin and Assad are reviled – he said he took care of this a year ago, but (as with everything else he touches) it is just getting worse.
