Holly: 10 PM?! Why does my curfew have to be so EARLY?
Val: Well, when's the last bus??
Holly: B -
Holly: I have to date...on the BUS??
Val: Unless a parent drives you...which seems more romantic?
How did she think she was going and coming…a “Magic Carpet”? Another good reason for Granny saying be sure and bring the babies to the family dinner…..
All this time it didn’t dawn on my but our own daughter’s name is Holly and when she was Holly’s age in SS back then to now she didn’t date anyone. My own daughter is now 25 and with two dogs Golden Retriver’s.
Charlie- I agree. I was married long before I had the use of a car and I made multiple trips to a nearby grocery store to bring home my purchases for the week. The small neighborhood store owners understood and kept it safe etc during my trips (and I had big double baskets on both sides). I still remember bringing home a turkey (gift from employer) over snowy rutted roads- but I had made myself a hooded coat with heavy lining, good padding for the falls.

She could be having a ‘pumpkin moment’ if she stays too late and misses the bus. Remember pumpkins are a ‘grounded’ gourd!

If she’s like my kid sister, she’ll ask him when he’s gonna ask Holly to marry him - during the first date.
