Apples and Oranges. Hee hee. Oranges, get it.

“Cambridge Analytica obtained their data fraudulently, laundered through a researcher who paid people to install an app,” Jim Messina, Obama’s campaign manager, wrote on Twitter.

By contrast, Obama campaign officials say they did not collect information without users’ consent or in violation of the rules Facebook had in place at the time.

You don’t expect Hankie to understand something as subtle as context, do you? It might get in the way of a good ideological knee jerk response.

There is no real privacy online. When you open up your browser, thousands of commercial entities bid for the right to appear on your page. Within seconds 2,000 to 4,000 cookies will populate your machine.

Facebook is an advertising platform. They collect information on users for advertisers. Political ads are simply another revenue source for them. This is where we are right now. Expect the tech giants to get heavily regulated. First in Europe, than in the US.

Meanwhile, President Obama continues to be a class act and trump continues to be a sleazy, mentally ill, repulsive and simply pitiful human being.

As to election cheating, it’s pretty obvious the Russians were deeply involved. My question is did Cambridge Analytica help the Russians target specific precincts in specific states important to the electoral college? More cooperation between the Russian hackers and trump, I suspect.
