    I am now 72 (granddad) and my granddaughter is Holly’s age…..it’s a trip!

    I’m glad I wasn’t born a girl. It would have been interesting, but I think my mom wouldn’t have been able to handle the pressure, and neither would I.

    As for Holly, I hope that there’s plenty of pizza and Playstation Move involved at this dinner.

    I had my daughter invite her first serious boyfriend to dinner, it wasn’t a fiasco :D Then again, she was 17, not 14 - and he’s been to dinner tons of times since then.

    My parents already knew all potential boyfriends…they taught in our high school. Might this account for having my first date at 17? Met my first boyfriend at church youth camp, with parents safely out of the way….

    @Thirdguy, then gramma better do the cooking. You know what everybody thinks about Val’s cooking.

    Actually that would be the acid test. Does Jordan like Holly well enough to eat her mother’s cooking.
