Homophobia is practiced by haters. How can one disagree with a person loving another person? I did not “choose” to fall for my mate, it just was! She was to be for me, period. Gator referring to “those bound by their ideological hatred,” irony at its acme!
People are free to believe that homosexuality is sinful. However, trying to prevent civil same-sex marriage for others who do not share that belief, promoting so-called “gay conversion therapy” that both has been proved to be ineffective and actively injures people, and claiming that AIDS is a “judgment of God” goes beyond one’s personal beliefs. Such actions promoted harmful and false stereotypes and tried to impose a single religion’s beliefs onto all American citizens.
