How typical of you to twist issues into something that they are not. Nobody wants to ban the gas engine, but I thought everyone was in agreement that electric engines should one day replace gas engines in order to protect the environment for our children. Electric engines have besides the environmental aspect many advantages over gas engines and the transition will be natural, not imposed by anyone. As for free speech, it’s your beloved leader who’s threatening to sue anyone who’s criticizing him, while at the same time slandering everyone he doesn’t like.Regulating gun ownership is not the same as banning guns. There are many requirements for owning and driving a car – like licensing requirements registration requirements insurance requirements and driving record requirements. I’m sure we can all agree that they are there for a good reason – public safety. Imagine if the were no requirements for driving a car ? Think of how many more deaths there will be on the streets ? If we can agree on that, why can’t we agree on similar rules and regulations for gun ownership ? Won’t there be far fewer gun related deaths every year ?

But it is more than fine to let the Russians run your campaigns, isn’t it Republicans?

Another adventure into right wing fantasy land, today, Left Wing Dystopia!

Never mind that the right wing gun nuts are destroying the country with their Russian buddies and a total lunatic is in the White House and the Congress gave all the tax dollars to their rich friends.

Ecotopian society has favored decentralized and renewable energy production and green building construction. The citizens are technologically creative, while remaining involved with and sensitive to nature. Thorough-going education reform is described, along with a highly localized system of universal medical care.

Ecotopian citizens are characterized as clever, technologically resourceful, emotionally expressive, and even occasionally violent – but also socially responsible, patriotic. They often live in extended families, and tend to live by choice in ethnically separated localities. Their economic enterprises are generally employee-owned and -controlled. The current governmental administration that of a woman-led (but not exclusively female) party, and government structures are highly decentralized.

The values embodied by those Ecotopians depicted in the novel reflect the values espoused by its author. Callenbach said that his Ecotopians attach fundamental importance to environmental and social stability within which variety can flourish. They value creativity. They ensure equality for women. They implement the protection and restoration of natural systems. They promote food production in their cities.

As well, they treasure personal quality-of-life values, such as health and friendliness, and both meaningful discussion and play.

At least Henry recognizes banning free speech, like Trump wants to do, is bad!

Straw man! We have done NONE of those things and I don’t know anyone who is advocating for banning those 3 things.

    1. Keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of the mentally ill = confiscate all the guns 2. Reducing pollution and noxious emissions of automobiles = banning all cars. 3. Publically disagreeing with a Republican = banning free speech.

CHEV.JAMES, your link to Fox “News” includes the statement from CNN that the headline used by Fox is NOT true. The ability for Fox to promote lies knows no bounds and they know many of the customers don’t read past the headlines.

Payne, regulations are NOT bans. It is disgusting that you promote fear.

electric engines aren’t the panacea that everyone believes as they must be plugged in to a power source that uses fossil fuel to generate electricity – and some of those plants may be coal fired compounding the problem.
