We get the politicians offered, not what we deserve. Offer poor or antithetical ones and they will get elected, especially when those who want them elected have a dedicated voting core and inhabit the only two official parties allowed. Once they are under the control of the Neo-Liberals many of whom are Plutocrats or fans we get what they offer. Not what we want or deserve.
