    The trenchant psychological insights the strip came to superbly excel at are by now really starting to crank up; it’ll put it right up there with—and often past—the likes of Percy Crosby and “Skippy” and, I dare say, Roy Crane’s work. Often, Rose reached to the heights of Walt Kelly’s “Pogo.”
