This must be one of those “team-building” exercises.

Went to a company meeting and they called out a guy for doing the greatest job ever. He stood up and we applauded. Within the month, they canned him, LOL!

Went to a department meeting wherein managers stated that 75 to 80% of the experience of the department is in workers over age 45. Within the next 6 months nearly all those over age 50 were laid off. Why, then, bring up the experience “fact?” Apparently they think that “experience” has little value. In my experience, the experience that comes from being around a long time saves much more than one’s salary in avoided costly mistakes. Those managers apparently have not yet made, or not learned from, that mistake.

We had a team meeting right before an all-hands. People in the team meeting were told their group was being shut down and everyone had to pack up and leave during the all-hands and be out before it was over.

Man comes to the door, and lady answers.Man asks: “Be you the widow Johnson?”Lady answers: “I be Mrs. Johnson, but I be no widow.”Man replies: “Well, you haven’t heard what I have to say yet, either.”Old joke. Same tone as this cartoon, however.
