The discussion in the media over whether it is appropriate to publish or read the phrase “shit hole” is ludicrous. It’s news, and to not report it is censorship. See The Guardian (UK). They report what newsmakers say without regard to whether the terms are obscene or scatological, because it’s simply the news.
It’s not the language, it’s the content. Uber-racist Drumpf insulted an entire continent in one sentence. I’m just surprised he was able to utter a coherent question without it being written for him. But, you know, someone somewhere also used salty language, so it’s totally cool, right?
