I live in US. When I was in Australia as a visiting professor, I bought a dachshund, named her Strudel. I wiggled my bare toes at her, and she always barked. Later on, she always tried to bite people’s shoes when they came to the house. After I got back to US, I bought another dachshund, named him Snuffy. That was back in the 1970s. I still miss them. (Now I have 2 dachshund-chihuahuas mix, Trixie (mother) and Norton (son). Great dogs!
