Sometimes I think we should do away with snowplows: a) we’d stop getting those dikes at the ends of our drives, b) we’d save money for fixing the potholes this winter is going to give us, and c) we’d stop encouraging idiot drivers from going out thinking the roads are fine and they can drive as negligently as always.

Shoveling our drive is one thing. Chopping through the ice-dam left by the county crew is another matter entirely.
