This strip today illustrates a societal predicament, namely, why do we do that which is wrong. Ideally, we ought to do right because it is right. Unfortunately, we often do it because of the consequences of doing wrong. This is why government has to enact regulations and laws on its citizens so as to preserve the society.

The Bible is full of chastisements against the earth’s peoples for their hypocrisy, that is for calling themselves people of God but not following His will. Jesus chastised his disciples in saying, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’ and not do what I say.”

The ideal of all scripture, be it Torah, Bible, Quran and others, is that God’s law would one day be written, not on tablets of stone or paper, but upon the hearts of mankind. Let us strive toward that end.

Too many people today think the real “sin” is getting caught rather than the act they committed.

Thought like a true thug. Hopefully Mom and Dad will be able to straighten him out before it’s too late.
