Tired Of This: why should the Jewish celebrations be any different than the Christian ones? Christmas, the celebration of the birth of Jesus, is lost in Santa Claus, Frosty, Grinch and rampant consumerism. Easter, the celebration of the Risen Christ [who was, by the way a reforming Rabbi in His preaching days] is lost to candy baskets, bunnies, chicks and egg hunts. I could go on, but you all get the gist of my message.
