I was so so happy to get my first car and even more so that my father was adamant about me learning EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING about the workings of the car. I can still remember being on the side of the road with my girlfriend and fixing her carb when some guys came in and thought to “help” well they didn’t know anything I didn’t and even less as it turned out…..I kissed and hugged my dad in my mind. I can remember my best friend who was a guy, calling me to come on and work on his car LOL
