That’s pretty much it. If you can’t work, you don’t deserve anything from the upper crust. It’s all their money after all, we just get it loaned out now and then, with interest, of course.

Actually, that’s pretty much the opinion of the majority of Republicans! they’ve ALWAYS had a semi-official slogan of “I’ve got mine, Jack; screw you!” And that, coupled with the evidently newly-minted, “Whatever it takes!” and the ever-popular “The end justifies the means!” pretty much sums up the philosophical underpinnings of the G.O.P., nowadays. They’ve ALWAYS been this way, they’ve just never had this much actual power to blatantly show it in a long time! They are NOT doing ANYTHING that they haven’t been saying they would do, given the chance! Even the disastrous amalgam called the “tax” bill is just Paul Ryan’s (and Ayn Rand’s) idea of a tax bill which was once ridiculed as unworkable by his fellow Republicans! There’s nothing new here, people, you just haven’t been paying attention. Republicans are like that “crazy old man” down the road; always waving a gun and threatening to shoot the next person coming on his property, but we ignored because we all knew no one would sell him bullets. Well, last November, the idiots, cretons and morons in the country handed him some ammunition! Enjoy the show!
