To Lester all sexual allegations are made up – they are just cynical attempts to shame Trump. Except the Democrats, those are real right? Way to not believe the women who were sexually assaulted, because it is all just a sham to blame the President.
He groped women and bragged about it, he should be the first one in that line to be thrown in that volcano.
1. ALL allegations should be respectfully heard, taken seriously, and thoroughly investigated. 2. We remain a people who have enshrined due process and insist that accused are innocent until proven guilty. This must NOT be amended to read, “except for allegations of a sexual nature, in which cases the accused shall be guilty until proven innocent”. 3. The assertion that women do not lie about sexual accusations, or that only 3 or 4% of such allegations are false, is ridiculous. Women are as complex as men and can have reasons and motivations of their own for lying about such things.
Isn’t America wonderful? One place you can destroy a person with a simple accusation. It doesn’t matter if you have evidence, society is so terrified that your target will never see the inside of a courtroom. Yes, I’m sure some maybe most of these accusations are true, and yes you will get your pound of flesh. However the fallout of false accusations is going to cause one heck of a chill in relations between the two sexes, mark my words.
Due process of law should be encouraged by investigations into all sexual harassment charges. If there are no investigations, the truth will never come out about what really happened. Sexual harassment charges will continue to surface, therefore investigations into those harassment charges should be automatic not just delegated to the he said, she said category of publicity driven news. While some sexual harassment charges may or may not be truthful, most are probably the real deal simply because a woman or a man who makes those charges is going to be the subject of negative publicity and the type of harassment that goes with the voicing those charges in this day and age of electronic information
