We can fill the vacuum with one trip through the living room. And Blazer is a short-hair! When we had our black lab, Hubby used to sweep the rug with a broom, rolling up the dog hair in front of him. You could pick up that with your hands, and then vacuum to finish off.
We should save the hair have it made into wool and make Dog Hair sweaters. I’m sure there is a market for it. Ha Ha….there seems to be a market for everything else.

Between the dog hair, seed husks, and down feathers, I empty mine twice a vacuuming session.
My girl doesn’t look like she would be a heavy shedder, but it doesn’t take long to fill the canister.

I really really hate to boast but both my dogs are poodle crosses and DON’T SHED. (Okay, I really really wanted to boast.)

Need to get a Dyson, have had ours 20+ years, thru two german shepherds and working on a flat coated retriever, and is still great.
