So…let’s open the Catholic priesthood to women!

I saw the videos of so-called Muslims smashing a statue of Mary. Obviously those propagandist are hoping on the ignorance of the public about Islam. Mary is very revered there, maybe even more so than in the Catholic Church.

Heck, Christmas is the only time Protestants pay attention to Mary. And the only time they don’t mind statues.

Don’t humor yourself – God didn’t “need” anything from anyone. He chose Mary to give birth to Jesus, because he wanted to.

This is consistent. God is not “a conjurer of cheap tricks.” He doesn’t use smoke and mirrors. God gets his work done through the creation.

Many people poo-poo some miracles because they can be explained away as natural phenomena. That’s exactly how God works: with the laws of nature (or the laws of science, if you prefer). The miracle isn’t what happened or even how it happened, but why it happened; how people can see God revealing himself through the event.

Likewise, people are a part of creation. Like any good manager, God gets work done through his people.

Think about the holiday we are about to celebrate: God joining our club. That’s one heck of a celebrity endorsement for the human race. This may be difficult to keep in mind when we think about the likes of terrorists, pedophiles, hate groups and certain political figures.

If the big guy has faith in us, perhaps we should have faith in us too.

Just when you wanted to get mad about this strip being bigoted and anti-catholic — which it is — you’re comforted to know that, quite obviously, the person writing it is not a catholic at all.

IN WHAT UNIVERSE does a vested monk not know that the Nativity is about the Blessed Virgin?

Modernists’ hatred of Mary is so deep-seeded, I can’t even feel sorry for the hell you must inhabit both in your hearts, and, God forbid, in your afterlife… so sad…
