Doesn’t change the fact that Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot.

Is our extremely expensive, protracted campaign, two opposing party system really attracting the best and brightest public servants with a sense of humility and respect for not just the people who elected them to office, but the whole population …. or are the incentives all wrong?

And did you ask DJT to autograph “The Art Of The Deal” as well? Or Roy Moore to sign the Ten Commandments? Bet you didn’t.

Franken’s weak apology was full of caveats; let’s not kid ourselves.

Hey westnyc have you looked at the pictures from that USO tour? The “victim” was photographed with her hand on a guy’s butt, and then aggressively kissing some GI. Some victim.

Well, I suppose for some of the right wingers, touching a flak jacket would be a sexual experience.

As for the “French Kiss” by Franken, the photos in the link above showing her doing same to an unsuspecting GI prompt me to wonder which incident happened first. Clearly there was a lot of clowning around, and none of it looks predatory. Intent does matter.

He did write an autobiography. Maybe it’s time for a senate ethics investigation. Nothing like a Democrat doing something to get those Republicans in congress to actually do something.

Since the photo was a joke and it shows that his hands are not even touching the flak vest,…..? the photo was taken by a photographer, …….. Who has not come forward to comment on what was going on at the time……… If it was part of a rehearsal for a skit to go on to a comedy show for The USO……. Where are the photos from the show….. that show her groping and kissing other people, soldiers or sailors, like Robin Williams? …….. I think this whole brouhaha has been instigated by her employment at Fox Media to disparage a Democrat and turn attention away from Moore’s campaign. Maybe that’s just me. Franken has asked for an investigation, perhaps he wants that photographer found, or other Witnesses found who could throw more light on what really happened during that rehearsal. Even though he remembers the French Kiss Part differently, he has still apologized. Twice! Which is more than you can say for other people who have been accused of forced groping, pedophilia, and rape. A misdemeanor compared to Major felonies.

Al Franklin is a big fat idiot. 2 sexual harassment incidents could mean a pattern, 3 is a pattern.

Franken worked in the comic world, where this sort of “funny business” was excused as a joke. I haven’t seen any first hand reports that contradict either of the women. His apologies & refusal to blame the women stands in stark contrast to the first response of almost every other guy who’s been accused of harassment or abuse. I’d like to excuse his behavior as a guy who thought he was doing a caricature of real abusers, but I’m not inclined to let anyone off that easy. His current & former staff have all spoken glowingly about his respect & advocacy. He deserves an investigation.

It’s possible to think what Franken did was wrong, even though not nearly as wrong as what Trump or Moore have been credibly & repeatedly accused of. Unless the investigation turns up better reasons to doubt these women than their politics, he should leave politics & find a way to be a better advocate for women. I doubt many of our conservatives will ever say the same about guys on their side.
