I have a degree from Ohio State. The win yesterday has not changed my life one iota, except for the nearly four hours of entertainment that The Game provided. Side note: I wonder how many of the players will graduate or eventually earn a degree?
When will the focus of our “civilized” nation shift from those who entertain us to those whose goal in life is to make a leave a positive footprint for the good of the planet and the life that inhabits it?
I felt the same way when the Dodgers gave up 5 runs to the Astros in Game 7 and couldn’t make up the deficit. Oh, well. Congratulations, Houston on your first World Series victory!
I believe Arlo & Janis are living in my State of Alabama. Football is a Southern Way Of Life. We have some great colleges, but when around Thanksgiving, The IRON BOWL (Alabama VS Auburn) is pure Southern HATRED! “Mixed Marriages” (Wife Auburn Fan and Hubby is an Alabama Fan {or vice versa} may watch the Iron Bowl in separate rooms, come out of their safe room and barely speak to one another. For 365 days the losing fans have to put up with all kinds of jokes and ridicule.

Somehow I don’t think Mr. Johnson is in as bad a mood as Arlo is in today.
But as a sports fan I can totally understand ‘being prepared for the worst’ when he drew this strip a few weeks ago ;)
