We had this happen, finding an attempted delivery notice in the box, when we had been home the whole time and knew no attempt was made. I asked our mailman, and he said there was a fill-in carrier— and the guy had bragged to him about how quickly he did his route. KHMO is right! Quicker to leave the note than to walk up to the house and deal with knocking, waiting, getting a signature, walking back— and if no one is home, all that walking is wasted. Best to let the customer come down to the post office!
It not ‘attempted delivery’ if you didn’t bring the package. It’s just a notice of a package. Another slap at the postal service. — Yes, I know it’s a cartoon.

Any idea why there’s an exclamation mark after everything that isn’t a question? Even “Hmm” gets one.

Now wait a minute. To have a 117 year old man schlep to the post office? Are they for real?

So I guess Walt is still among the living?
