The Democrats are gutless and the Republicans are insane. Not a healthy situation.

Then when you have someone who isn’t gutless, like Alan Grayson, they get crushed in a primary, by a RepubliDem. Maybe. With electronic elections, who knows?

Like our two party system in Canada The Libs rack up massive debts throwing tax dollars at every special interest group they can until the Sheep get tired of the taxes then vote in the Conservatives to fix the mess buy cutting off the gravy train. But the tax addicts and the entitled mob scream that the Cons are mean and cold hearted then re elect the Libs (after the books have been balanced) to repeat the cycle.

Well, Mike, actually, our cons are the one who run up the debt with war costs they keep “off the books.” Then they lower taxes further, and drive the debt up even more. THEN they blame the other side—but usually with socially driven conservative crap (gays, transsexual bathroom use), fear (the Mexicans are taking your jobs and Obama is taking your guns), racism (Obama is a socialist Kenyan), and other dirty tricks. Meanwhile, the only balanced budget we’ve had in a very, very long time was under a Clinton presidency. What did the cons do? Naturally, they attack. Impeachment over lying about a blow job.

So, the Canada you describe is the polar opposite of the US.

Most of the world is the polar opposite of the US in regard to how conservatives and liberals behave and the US adds to our misery by excluding engineers and scientists from the leadership mix.

I have said this before. If the Dems have nothing to offer in 2018 except, “We are not Trump”, The GOP will keep the House and Senate.

Meanwhile we became a third world plutocracy run by and for the 1%

and all of your tax dollars go to them.

The Democratic Plan on [ ] is to fix/make better/raise taxes to pay for it. They appoint people who are competent to run departments. The Republican plan is to push back on every point of the plan, regardless of what constituents want. People don’t notice, and get pissed off from attack ads, they don’t go vote… The mess doesn’t get fixed because Republicans have been in control for 8 years and they don’t want this mess fixed, but lets blame Democrats anyway.

Bush 43 cuts taxes and starts two wars but keeps their costs out of the budget. Cheneysays “deficits don’t matter”. Bush signs TARP bailout for the bankers with no strings attached.

.Obama acts like a responsible leader and adds the war costs into the budget. Je attempts to put together a stimulus plan, but the Repubs push for tax cuts which NEVER work to stimulate the economy.

.Rall is correct that there are too many Dems that don’t stand up for the people, some even working against people (Manchin for example). The difference in the parties is that some Repubs will say a bill is horrible, yet they still vote for it because party is most important to them. This is why there should not be term limits in Congress. There are some working for the people (Elizabeth Warren, Dick Durbin) and they should stay as long as their constituents want them.

The price on the Republican budget is the 1.5 trillion dollars going to rich people that everyone else gets to pay for.

No money for infrastructure, jobs, education or health, all goes to the military and rich corporations who are already rolling in money and produce no jobs what so ever. Total theft of the government and the money by the republicans.

Why people still believe in this 40 year old myth is beyond me, it never works.
