The Democrats should start a new campaign with the obvious platform of listening to the people and what benefits the people as a whole. That platform should involve tax reforms that do not subtract any benefits for the middle class and the poorer Americans. It’s about time the rich started paying for their privileges. It’s about time they remembered what happens when they get too selfish. It has happened before and it can happen again right here in America. We are supposed to be a society of equality. Not a society where the 98% supports the top echelon hedonistic selfish individuals.
As it is, when you take money out of your 401K, you have to pay income tax rates on all of it, even though there is some interest included in the total. But hedge fund managers and exec getting stock options pay capital gains rates for their actual income. Now they want to eliminate the 401K tax benefits when this is a decades long plan for people, most of whom don’t get a pension.

“But, I PROMISE that your 401(k) accounts WON’T be changed in ANY way!”
Later that SAME DAY…“Well, that’s on the table…”

Why would the middle class get anything out of a Republican tax plan? They’ll give it all to the rich and the free market will do the rest.

Well… Once the GOP kicks out all the Dreamers, ‘illegal’ immigrants, and those who overstay their visas…
Who else are you gonna get to work the fields for a little bit of pay?
And if the old folks keel over while in the fields…
Hey! We just saved a bunch of money on Medicare / Medicaid!
You Leftys just don’t see the big picture!
