What’s truly sad here is that we live in a society that teaches people, that when you go to a party to celebrate another person we should expect something.
I remember when I was about Dill’s age (maybe a year older) and I was so jealous of the kids at my party because they each got a party gift (one that I liked) and I didn’t!
