    Here’s another one for California:

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/09/20/california-school-board-will-allow-transgender-books-in-elementary-schools.html

Since when does the government have “authority” of children over their parents?

You are not going to just lose your state but your children as well.

    Don’t let them bulldoze you!

Does your state contribute to the United States or just take from it?

Something isn’t right with Ramirez when he attacks an American state that has brought so much innovation to the country. Just as something isn’t right with our President who calls black NFL players who take a knee in peaceful protest “son of a bitches” while calling white supremacist, Nazi sympathizers “fine people”.

Good ’ol Texas can boast the fastest growing GDP among states, while crazy California has to be content with being the second fastest growing state. I suspect their growth has more to do with large immigrant populations than tax rates or high speed rail.

Nearly every southern state has a higher poverty rate than California, unless you use calculations that average out cost of housing across the state. I’m not sure how Malibu mansions make inland Californians worse off than poor people in Alabama.

Did California impose their exit tax on those businesses who leave because they can’t stay in business out there?

I come across those who have left the land of fruits and nuts who say we should do things the way they did in California. When I ask why they left, they say they could not find work.So then I ask why they didn’t learn from their mistakes out there.

I always get the same deer in the headlights look.

@YankeeDoodle, “foxnews” is NOT a reliable source of information.

A little over a year ago I noticed rather bizarre headlines from fox on a news webpage. I web-searched the headlines and only found fox and sites which referenced them. I then searched for the people and places listed in the articles and, again, only found fox and sites which referenced them. I did this for a week straight and never found any corroborating articles.

I then searched for information on fox itself and found that, in a lawsuit against them in 2010 for publishing a false article, their lawyers said that they were under no obligation to tell the truth. Of course, there was also the time they photo-shopped pictures of two Times reporters they were attacking to make the reporters look a lot less attractive and the charts they use on TV “news and commentary” shows with different bars on the chart drawn to different scales.

fox is neither “fair” nor “balanced” nor truthful in their so-called “coverage.”

As my daddy used to say “everything is relative to the point of view.” But I sure do love coming in here and reading all of the posts at the end of the day. It’s how I continue my education on a daily basis. Thank you all !! very entertaining !!

    https://www.theguardian.com/business/2017/aug/08/murdochs-sky-takeover-bid-delayed-ofcom-further-input

Rupert Murdoch’s proposed takeover of Sky has met with further delays after the government asked the media regulator to conduct further analysis of the mogul and his company’s adherence to broadcasting standards.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport made the intervention after the government and Ofcom faced calls to deepen their investigation into the Murdoch family’s suitability to buy Sky because of allegations that Fox News had colluded with the White House on a story that contained fabricated quotes.

The MPs and Avaaz have criticized Ofcom for advising the government not to launch a broadcasting standards investigation despite a sexual harassment scandal at Fox News and the phone hacking scandal at the News of the World.

Folks ain’t dumb. There are valid reasons that states like California, Illinois, and New York have experienced net outflows for a long time.
