Envy may be enabling Voss to do things he couldn’t do before, but it can only do this because Voss is basically a rather nasty person. I mean, take away a person’s ability to read? I say “string him up”!
You mean he went this long without picking up the ability to read English, when he spent all this time not just heading for an English town, but also getting himself set up in the process?
It looks like Voss and Envy have different goals, and Voss predictably puts his own goals first. He forgets that Envy makes those goals possible and must be kept happy. This initial disagreement is the beginning of the end for Voss.
