Google sponsoring a liberal think tank is contrary to its shareholders’ interest. Google would serve its shareholders better by funding the Kochs’ think tanks.

Oh, wait, are we now complaining about a company firing someone who created an HR nightmare for them?

Yeah, cuz companies should never be allowed to fire an employee who makes other employees angry and uncomfortable and brings the company into disrepute. CENSORSHIP11!

    From Wikipedia:

’New America has been criticised for its close links with Google and its censorship culture.

The New York Times revealed in late August 2017 that pressure from Google led to the ousting of Barry Lynn7 who had criticised Google as a monopoly and called for it to be broken up. The President and CEO, Anne-Marie Slaughter, wrote an email to Lynn shortly before dismissing him saying ‘We are in the process of trying to expand our relationship with Google… just THINK about how you are imperiling funding.’ The emails sent by Slaughter ‘clearly show the influence that Google wields over New America’s operations,’ stated the Open Markets team in a statement provided to The Intercept."

As for the notion that they are a “liberal” organization, most political “think tanks” who receive their funding from major corporations are about as “liberal” as Reagan was.

INSURGE INTELLIGENCE, a new crowd-funded investigative journalism project, breaks the exclusive story of how the United States intelligence community funded, nurtured and incubated Google as part of a drive to dominate the world through control of information. Seed-funded by the NSA and CIA, Google was merely the first among a plethora of private sector start-ups co-opted by US intelligence to retain ‘information superiority.’
