Was gone yesterday from about 12:30 to 9:30 last night visiting a 98 year old friend who is still recovering from an operation for a burst abdominal aortic aneurysm; that happened in June.
So Sam and Tracy have code names to keep anyone from intercepting the messages, but they call Bribery by his name. That makes a lot of sense. (And I do realize it is so the readers understand what is going on, but…)
The coded message that we see in panel 1 does seem to omit the crucial fact that a hitman (Sawtooth) is out to terminate Tracy. As such, this message is nothing more than a check-in, telling Sam that T-Bolt is still on the job in Bribery’s gang. She needs still to provide the crucial intel somehow. Or Tracy may not around anymore when Mr. Bribery gets back from his “vacation”!
Obviously, to be continued. (While the Nitrate aspect dangles before us….)
