I made a coupon book for my grandmother one year when I wa in my early 20s. Had coupons like “Fix one broken item” “4 hours sweaty work in the fields” (several of those) “Perform one home repair”She loved it but I don’t recall her redeeming all of the coupons.
Absolutely lovely lovely cartoon today, brought tears to my eyes. My sister and I had so many fun days when we were kids. Unfortunately, I’m the only one who remembers them now. She has Alzheimer’s. Such a bummer.
I had no sibs and wanted one very much. My cousins were all the more important, and the only one in visiting distance doesn’t really want to get together. I think so much about the past and good times, and would love to be on better terms with him and his wife. We were the ones who went to see them on their ranch though so I miss the places as well. But I was always the littler one who wanted to tag after, and not of much interest to him,, except to tell “whoppers” to.
