Sisyphos, I was thinking about Old Wolf, too. What is that dish called again?

    Chupaquesos? Nah… huitlacoche.

Howard Tayler of Schlock Mercenary webcomic invented the chupaqueso, crisped cheese wrapped around melted cheese.

Then some huitlacoche and natto gently folded together, as a side dish for #2 on the menu… -as seen at Schlock Mercenary 08/08/08.

morgueritem, pbarnrob has it right: here is Old Wolf’s smutto video.

EDIT: had to edit that a couple of times to get it right: it’s good to go now.

I think Attack of the Corn Smut Zombies would make a great movie.

“Attack of the Corn Smut Zombies”, I think I saw that at a drive-in theater back in the 70’s.

We went to Mexico and had “Corn Mushroom” soup. It turned out to be corn smut which I had seen often on the farm as a kid. Eating it seemed out of the question, except we ate it before it was identified and it was quite good. I have heard that it is available in Mexican grocery stores canned, but I have never seen it. Corn Smut Zombies is quite funny.

D Frog. You don’t watch corn. Come now you are the punniest among us. Where do you get it? I know: Your mother’s knee or some other low joint. Ack…..attack of those zombies!!!

Corn smut really is quite disgusting, scary, alien-looking stuff. oozing out of the ear or taking over the tassel. Perfect for Hallowe’en! Although it’ll turn Alice into a pod person, not a zombie…

I know I have seen that some love that corn product, I find it disgusting (but then, I also will not eat okra either). I have been learning new recipes and experimenting with my better/healthier versions, but those will NOT be among my ingedients.

Old Wolf’s vid was great and I see that he’s probably younger than my kids- I’m dazzlebirdy on utube and only posted one of Cuddles talking so far.

We all have SOMETHING that disgusts us. With you it’s corn and okra, which I do like, and for me, it’s cheese. Any kind of cheese, I find it disgusting. If you’ve ever been anywhere that had a filthy men’s room where maybe someone threw up, then you know what cheese smells like to me. And the taste is even worse. And, yes, I eat pizza……just NO cheese. I’ve been eating it that way for over 50 years. (I’m 75) I didn’t have a pizza for the first time until I was in the Marine Corps at 17yo. So…….I guess 58 years.
