This comic strip has had a couple of really good ideas for police outreach to neighborhoods. Perhaps real police departments should actually try these things.
We have new Police Chief hired by the City Manager and Commissioner’s. He is doing more then past PC. Holding a community event. Suppose to be clean up projects, parade, car show, BBQ I think, and different sports. Police will be presence to interact with community they are also wanting the younger set.This PC first arrived got busy with his patrol then went to attend different functions. When first BLM he also got involved with that, there was no violence with State Troupers.
This reminds me of the following: One of my first jobs while attending H S in LA, One night I was walking home after 11:00 pm (long walk, didn’t have a car) and a sheriff’s cruiser slowed down to ask me “Where you going?” “I am going home I responded I just got off my shift” Them S O just followed me all the way home to make sure I mad it safe, great memories! Respect the badge!
Yo’ Rob, I just realized I see your pic, at the bottom of the jumpstart strip, Man!! you look just like Joe Cobb! You were/are a cop also? Chin whiskers and all! And a beauty next to you You ’ta man!

Our local Gannett newspaper is not carrying this story line. They are substituting a repeat of an old story line.
