Congrats to the group of brave souls here that said the loser pays. And congrats to B.O. for seeking out a lawyer. If they can sniff out a nice fat contingency, you can rest assured they will! First step: get the media ginnin’ up the crowd. Sound familiar?
Interesting to learn, from our intrepid commenters, for whom the attorneys that B.O. has called upon are named. I would never have arrived at that factoid on my own, and am grateful for the head’s-up: thanks, Poore.Ronnie! The newspaper account will certainly help B.O.s case by publicly shaming Paragon for trying to shift a sum that for them is paltry onto the aggrieved citizen! How relevant this matter will be for the broader story-arc is as yet not clear, however.
Happy birthday to the President, but at same time, prayers for Congressman Scalise and all the victims of today’s attack, and a special thank-you to the heroic Capitol Police officers who prevented what might have become a massacre, Crystal Griner and David Bailey. Although details are still not entirely spelled out, it appears that Officer Bailey, already wounded, brought down the Illinois madman (however you choose to define “mad”); for that, he surely deserves some tangible award!
Going back to the story of Rep. Bellowthon, I was interested to read that the FBI is leading the investigation into today’s shooting since they are considering it an “assault on a federal officer.” Any federally elected person would be included, I think.
It is “a Federal crime or offense for anyone to forcibly assault a Federal officer while the officer is engaged in the performance of his official duties.” It’s interesting, though I don’t disagree, that baseball practice is considered an “official duty” for the majority whip.

Banks don’t like bad publicity. Especially if it is about clients being treated poorly!

Is someone from the bank have anything to do with the so called haunting at B.O.’s house? And will this involve Mr. Bribery somehow?

Some of you have likely heard about the shooting at the Congressional baseball practice – I hope none of the injuries were serious.

…but YOU are going to have to pay the attorney, B.O.
CynthiaLeigh almost 7 years ago
The court wouldn’t do that. They have ways to get parties to pay.
