Barack Obama: C'mon. You're a smart voter. We can do this! A quick dash, jump the teeth, grab the cup, keep going - bam! We've snatched victory from the jaws of defeat! Ready?
As far as Pat’s cartoon – I guess I’ve been jumping through the crocodile’s jaws for the past 60 years. Never got swallowed yet. Often was on the winning side.
Strangely for Democratic success long term they should lose this election.
GOP will then show there hand after bluffing so long. Surprise they held Aces and eights, dead mans hand, all along.
Democrats are holding a full house, but will still fold.
The actual emblem is a mule, not a donkey. Mules are more comfortable to ride in rough going than horses, they’re also smarter and less likely to lead one into trouble. They also may be stubborn, but it’s usually because they DO “think things through”.
Elephants are big and can get violent- they’ve also been known to quite often stomp and kill their masters, or just go rogue and kill everything in sight, destroying homes, incomes, children, and anything that stands in their way.
At times they may seem bright, but they tend to have that “crazy” streak.
^ i knew that - lol.
i just didn’t want to say mule because of the symbolism of the democratic donkey.
and, yes, those large grey bruisers can do alot of damage,
just watch youtube…
and the political party whose representatives mirror those bruisers can do alot of damage, also…
The mule’s big advantage over horses, (that he shares with donkeys) is that he can SEE where he’s going and decide where to put his feet (the horse can’t see his feet).
If emotion is all that counts, the rogue bull elephant wins.
Remember; revolutionaries rarely make good governors. The skill sets don’t overlap.
