never thought about that before (is not as if I have ever seen a golf broadcast), but just wondering.. are those announcers by the golfer’s side, or are they far away, watching the game as any other spectator trough a screen, far away from the players and the court, inside a broadcasting studio..?

Irwin is okay in my book. A little less breathless faux-excitement would actually enhance my appreciation of most sports broadcasts….
