Well case closed, looks like they live in North Dakota in a town called Knightville. I would have guessed they lived in the south, I hope this means they’ll have snow in the winter. Yep I’ve already got Christmas on the mind! :D

And another example of characters getting their news from ‘Print Media.’

Sorry … it has to be physical to work, and so far he is talking to the phone.

A deserved smugness coming from Charlene, I’ll bet she’s thinking; “You can have your Jolene, I’ve created and nurtured life! Counting our daughters that makes three!”. She’s been working hard while Roy’s trying the easy way today! XD

Be funny if Roy’s efforts resulted in a giant “Novelty Check” of the same monetary value. ;)

Panel #3: Possibly the first examples of word balloons which omit the traditional panel borders along the outer edges.

    Always a favorite technique.

Had them pegged for the German belt, but further south, say Missouri or, maybe, a German-Texas enclave near San Antonio. But, North Dakota! That does makes sense. Oh boy, the winter strips are going to rival that of Calvin and Hobbes!

Hey. There’s the W2 (kind of) that everyone needed to see, to buy into this comicstrip. I still don’t buy into it, but I sell my disbelief easily on the black market.

So…maybe it’s time to sell Jolene and all those collectibles in his man-cave-trailer…

By-the-bye, the first three digits of his SSN put it as being issued in Delaware. That doesn’t mean he’s from there, or living there right now, just that the number was issued there.
