New polling data came out stating that 96% of Trump supporters would vote for him again. My question is why? Are they blind or just willfully ignorant? The same poll showed that while Trump has a 54% disapproval rating, he has a 40% approval rating. Is it even worth it trying to have a rational discussion with Trump supporters? I honestly think that they are too far gone and either they are not paying attention or are willfully ignorant and will not be responsive to factual evidence as to his incompetence. I say to heck with them and just write them off as a lost cause.

I can see why so many republicans were frustrated when we had a Democrat president trying to better everyone’s lives, even their own. When all they ever wanted was to make sure everyone’s lives are as bad as theirs. No wonder you tried to stop him for 8 years. It must feel good to have your way now, do you think the Republicans will reach across to heal this divide? Or will we have to wait for Democrats to reach across again to a party that is unwilling to compromise?

From that same poll, it’s obvious that neither the Democrats or the Republicans are “in touch” with the voters. It really is time for some major changes. Personally, I think Trump is a poor choice, but the parties are no longer serving the people either.

    “….

But the bad news wasn’t Trump’s alone. The ABC/Washington Post poll found significant majorities said both the Democratic and Republican parties were “out of touch” with the concerns of most Americans.

Sixty-seven percent of respondents said the Democratic Party was out of touch, as did 62% for the Republican Party. Less than a third said either party was “in touch.” Trump fared slightly better than the parties, with 58% saying he was out of touch.

Apparently Mr. Sessions is unaware the Union added some states whilst he and his fellow Confederates were out of the country.
