I’ve always thought this trend of giving summer homework is ridiculous. When I was growing up we never had summer homework even reading though there were kids who took part in a reading program, strictly voluntary. Then they started making it a requirement and now you have homework assigned for the summer. It’s nasty to do that to kids. Summer vacation ought to be just that, a vacation!
