The US doesn’t have much of a future as a democracy if the main criteria for a Supreme Court Justice is that they are a conservative. When the congress cheats and ignores a nomination for over a year to achieve this, their confirmation hearings are a sad joke.
Given the cloud of illegitimacy over the trump presidency.. everything should be on pause until .. as the trump once said.. “we can figure out what the heck is going on”
It is called senile dementia when your short-term memory is so short that your forget that within the last 12 months Republicans did exactly the same thing and called it principles.
And the Supreme Court recently reversed a Gorsuch decision on education for the disabled by 8-0. Gorsuch decided that the State only had to provide the minimal help.
Ramirez, it is surprising how you manage to ignore the vile actions of the Republican party. They blocked EVERY nominee from Obama until the Dems were forced to use the nuclear option. Then many of the blocked nominees were approved UNANIMOUSLY when they finally came up for a vote, proving it was Republican obstructionism. Garland should have been given a hearing in the Senate and then have a vote. Gorsuch said as little as he could get away with, and his judicial history betrays his claim of respecting precedence.
All we know about Gorsuch is he likes fishing, and uses the language of a third grader in homeschool. Franken is also far more concerned about our country, and far more serious about protecting it, than anyone in the Trump administration, or their potential appointees, across the board.

Gorsuch never wrote an opinion that corporations didn’t like.

Al Franken is great. Warren is great. Conservatives envy (hate) good people.

No, Mr. Ramirez, the title should be bringing the Senate down to Mitch’s level…

This is a typical Ramirez response to the “success” of the Ryan-Trump health care plan!
