There was a time when Lynn Johnston used to draw in the seat belts missing from the reprints of her old comic strips. However, this comic strip was originally published in 1988 well after the seat belt laws were in effect in Ontario, so I am not sure why they were not in there in the first place.
Look closely. You can see seat belts (shoulder belts) in all the frames. Liz’s belt is tight across her shoulder, but John seems to be wearing his incorrectly.
I was going down the highway and I saw shards of ice coming at me. It was JULY! They were glass shards from a car ahead of me, it torsioned and the roof glass shattered!!
That may only be true for convertibles, not t-tops. I shattered a sunroof a thousand miles from home; and of course it immediately began to rain. There were several strong drip points all the way home.

She should show them stuck in traffic. You stay dry as long as you are moving.

Things get old, seals dry out, leaks begin.

This is just dumb, the roof panels are stored behind the seats, just pull over and put them back in….lol

If you drive over 35 MPH (50 KPH), the rain won’t get into the car. But then there’s stoplights, slow traffic, etc.
