He sounded out all his big boy words for a very polite audience (no one shouting at him, it was like there were grown up in the room this time) He was using his presidential rhetoric: increase war spending, ban on lobbying, boarder security, reducing costs of military equipment, giving credits for corporate investments, and a nod to the labor force. His actions are hateful, xenophobic and totalitarian, but his rhetoric was so presidential, hard to believe he could maintain it for an hour.
Yeah, no presidents have ever used a teleprompter before Trump. By definition, anything a President says is presidential, and by definition, anything a liberal says is stupid.
The teleprompters and demeanor proved it was his aids and speechwriters keeping him on track, well, until he used a grieving widow for his “stolen valor” and applause he ate up, even making a snide comment to take credit for it.
Ah, yes. Remember the good ol’ days when we all bad mouthed Obama for using the teleprompter? Now, it’s called “Presidential”. I wonder what the “real” difference is? Could it be that our new President is not, you know, black?
