Completely wrong. 1,861,594 people signed the petition to bar #45 from receiving the full honour of a state visit. UK Law requires Government consider (debate) petitions that gain this much traction. After the debate (for which no vote was held) Government responded that the visit would still go ahead. Details are at http://bit.ly/2lVam4Q

To be clear on this, even if there had been a will to bar #45 from a full state visit HMG would still have invited him to the UK and taken great care to stroke his ego.

Certain elements of the UK political scene believe that once the divorce with Europe is completed Uncle Sam will be one of our key trading partners and therefore the UK will bend over backwards to curry favour.

We had more people vote against the ORANGE ONE and he is president. Go figure.

Trump read a real good speech off the teleprompter, the “drain the swamp” line got a good laugh.
