Excessive exuberance

Trying to figure out what a Saltwater special is. I guess it is when U.S. shares have soared, oil prices have come down, borrowing is cheap and profits are up along with the dollar. Even returns from gold and bonds are better than those delivered by shares under his predecessor, W. Trump Red Bull Energy Drink seems to be the fifth best gain in history in percentage terms for the first 30 days. Great start, you have a way to go, watch for Republicans not to care about the Stock Market when this tanks.

The Dow closed at 8776.39 on 1/31/08.

The Dow closed 19732.09 on 1/19/17.

When it reaches 30000, let me know.

This reminds me of the very old joke (it may have been from Henny Youngman) of a comedian saying, “My father’s business was wiped out by the stock market crash, some rich guy jumped out of a window and landed on dad’s applecart and broke it.”
