Exactly. THIS is far more important than the standard sideshow that is Trump’s persona on display. Every appointment from him is aimed at destroying the department or agency involved. Education, State, Labor, Attorney General, EPA, you name it.

With the environment, it’s worth remembering that extinction is forever.

This might be funny if it weren’t so sad. However, it’s worth remembering that the planet has been hot before….it’s we humans who’ll have to move to another planet….

SCARY! My dad was a PhD in physical oceanography, but during my early childhood he was a navy meteorologist (his MS from the Naval Postgraduate school and BS from USNA); he knew climate change! Now, both my sons have science graduate degrees and work for the federal government to save the planet (different departments). Trump scares the s#%t out of me!

This understates the danger of burning rivers, poisoned air, and other things to come back after NIXON signed laws to protect and defend the nation, the environment, and the endangered species around the world, not just “at home”. Having spent a career and lifetime defending America and our critical resources, Trump and his minions, corporate shills, are indeed “the enemy”.

If you think the air is too clean, and the water too pure, vote Republican!

What most people seem to be ignoring is that , from projection of past geological cycles, we should be getting colder, preparing to enter another ice age. Paintings from the seventeenth century show people skating on lakes and rivers which now don’t freeze. USGS maps from the 1930’s list “permanent pack ice” in places which are now ice free for months each year. Photographs taken in the 1970’s through the 2000’s show the leading edge of glaciers retreating noticeably and the Antarctic ice shelves have been calving “yugely.” The last few years have been increasingly the hottest average temperatures recorded, but “climate change” is just a myth. No, global warming (what it really is) is for real, but the people responsible don’t want to admit it because then they would have to pay a lot of money to correct it, and the big companies are Trump’s “friends”.

ZUHLAMON, also, they are curtailing research capabilities of NASA and NOAA because those respected agencies have come up with data about the climate the administration doesn’t want to hear.
