If the president stopped campaigning and started doing enacting the will of the people instead of the tiny minority of his supporters, his approval could be positive. Seeing the Republican party in action must be very inspiring to the future voters watching this unfold.
38% approval rating after only a month in office! And his insistence on commuting to Mar-A-Lago every week already has him busting through ANY travel record for costs of Presidential vacations, not to mention the costs to local businesses who can’t operate their air banners, etc. while air space is restricted!Plus, we ALSO have to guard Trump Tower, and make plans for all his OTHER properties in case he decides to “vacation” there!
Swedes have been scratching their heads and ridiculing President Donald Trump’s remarks that suggested a major incident had happened in the Scandinavian country.During a rally in Florida on Saturday, Trump said “look what’s happening last night in Sweden” as he alluded to past terror attacks in Europe. It wasn’t clear what he was referring to and there were no high-profile situations reported in Sweden on Friday night. The comment prompted a barrage of social media reaction on Sunday, with hundreds of tweets, and a local newspaper published a list of events that happened on Friday that appeared to have no connections to any terror-like activity.Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Catarina Axelsson said that the government wasn’t aware of any “terror-linked major incidents.” Sweden’s Security Police said it had no reason to change the terror threat level.
Trump’s three Mar-a-Lago trips since the inauguration have probably cost the federal treasury about $10 million, based on figures used in an October government report analyzing White House travel, including money for Coast Guard units to patrol the exposed shoreline and other military, security and staffing expenses associated with moving the apparatus of the presidency.
In New York, the city is paying $500,000 a day to guard Trump Tower, according to police officials’ estimates, an amount that could reach $183 million a year.
This month, The Post reported that Secret Service and U.S. Embassy staffers paid nearly $100,000 in hotel-room bills to support Eric Trump’s trip to promote a Trump-brand condo tower in Uruguay.
For Trump, the costs come with an additional perk: Some of the money flows into his own pocket. While Trump has removed himself from managing his company, he has refused to divest his ownership, meaning that he benefits from corporate successes such as government contracts.
When you think of security around the president of the United States, you most likely think of Secret Service officers in sunglasses, talking into microphones hidden in their cuffs. You probably don’t think of the large bubble of restricted airspace that follows the president wherever he goes. These are essentially no-fly zones reaching up to 17,999 feet within a 30-nautical-mile radius of the president (a nautical mile is just over a regular mile).
@Martens Thanks for the link. And to think that back in 1985, I only risked a stinger up my backside when I flew near Reagan’s ranch. Luckily for me, it was all well marked on the maps, and easy to find and avoid because a VOR (big white radio navigation aid) was adjacent to the ranch. The article did get a little bit carried away on one point. Major airports have controlled airspace around them that requires pilots to have on their transponders and to be on the radio with Air Traffic Control (a center which may be miles and miles away). NYC, with all those major airports would tend to have all of that anyway. Likewise the Miami area.
Still, post 9-11 rules made all the old stuff look pretty easy to deal with. Definitely a nightmare for lots of small business folks. And you just know Trump loves the fact that he is making trouble for the airport near his digs.
Trump’s “fine-tuned machine” is going haywire because it is a wretched mess. Lies pouring out of the white house, endorsements and leaks. Killing our SEALs, hanging up on foreign allies.Executive orders are unconstitutional and cabinet members fired. Meanwhile aides are being walked out of the white house because Trump’s picks can not pass back ground checks. The most Chaotic, incompetent disastrous white house. Bringing American people malevolence and requiring loyalty

The Trump rally in Florida is another example of the similarity to the Nuremberg rallies of the Third Reich. Heil Trump….
