Get him to join the local Sporting Clays club. At the start of the season I’m lucky if I break into the teens. But by the time seasons open I’m generally in the mid 30’s. But it’s a fairly tough course. So I always figure I should be able to at least limit out if we see enough birds.

Ducks flying “back” from the South means it is spring.. not normally associated with hunting season.
