Actually he didn’t vote for you, but with Russia’s help you still ended up where you are. Can Trump overcome the fact that he was not elected as a popular president? Can he lead when he is not loved by everyone?
Your car (country) is not running effectively and efficiently (health care costs, education, etc) compared to other cars (countries) so you bring it a mechanic (voters) and you’re told that all the pistons (representatives) are on just one side in the v-block engine (Congress). The mechanic (voters) moves those pistons (representatives) to the other side in the v-block engine (Congress) and the car (country) is still not running as effectively and efficiently (health care costs, education, etc) as the other cars (countries).
Did the mechanic (voters) do something wrong? Or should there be pistons (representatives) working together at the same time on both sides of the v-block engine (Congress)?
This toon is a start. We have to admit trump’s mental illness before we can move forward. I’m not opposed to debating the merits of right wing arguments and compromising to get stuff done. I am opposed to a mentally ill president in the White House, particularly with his anger, his lying and his narcissism. In the sad saga of trump, we are now finally able to admit publicly that he is a compulsive liar. This means nothing said by the President of the United States can be trusted to be true because of his mental illness.
Just look at the DSM 5. Look at observed behavior. Let’s have some radical honesty, folks. Crazy is crazy. Sorry, but that is a fact. I do not mean to denigrate the mentally ill. But nobody with trump’s illness is fit for office of any sort, much less fit for the presidency.
The electoral college was included in the constitution because it was written by a group of men who, though they were liberal for their time, were slave holders and had very little faith in anyone who was not college educated and rich. The idea was to enable the educated elite in each state to appoint people who would override the uneducated common people if they didn’t do what the elite considered the right thing. They sincerely were trying to protect the government they were creating, which protected their own positions in society. After all, if some hick farmer had been “feeling the Bern” in 1800, we would have a much different country than we do now.

His tie is too short, remember, he keeps it long enough to cover up the fly he sometimes has undone.
