In a rare circumstance, I agree completely, @mikefive. But I would add the REPUBLICANS in Congress are panting to eliminate anything referred to as an entitlement. And I would add that Social Security is NOT an entitlement except in the sense that you are entitled to get your own money back!
Donald said exactly what he needed to just to get the votes he needed. He will not deliver for the average person, he will deliver for the millionaires. We are about to lose our health insurance and see a meteoric rise in the cost of health care. We won’t spend a dime on infrastructure, we will only cut taxes to corporations and the rich. We’ll destroy entitlements and raise the deficit. But all of this will be okay, because he is the right color.
So much of the discussion here since the election has just been “Your side is terrible!” “No, your side is terrible!” Would it be possible to have some kind of substantive discussion of issues? For example, Trump has said that he wants everyone to have health insurance. Do our conservative posters agree? If so, how would you do that? Or do you disagree with your incoming president? And would liberals support Trump if he really does come up with a comprehensive plan? What would you require in order to support it?

Aren’t these the exact promises Obama made in 2008?
